NC State offers several bachelor-level degree completion programs through distance education. Transfer credits from other accredited post-secondary institutions can be applied toward fulfillment of the degree requirements.
The B.A. in Leadership in the Public Sector is offered by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Applicants must have an associate’s degree (AA or AS) or earned more than 60 credit hours of college courses. The remaining requirements may be completed online.
A B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Systems (MES) is offered at Craven Community College, Havelock, NC. The program combines site-based general education courses with engineering courses taught by NC State faculty delivered via interactive high-definition video teleconference.
Individuals in western North Carolina can complete an entire four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Asheville, NC. The Mechatronics Engineering program is a joint degree with the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
The minor in Agricultural Business Management teaches basic business and economic principles for agriculture. Not a free-standing program, it must be combined with an undergraduate major at NC State and is available only to NC State degree-seeking undergraduate students.
