Remote Testing Services
Please consult your instructor concerning his/her test policies. Examination requirements are usually listed in the Course Details Sheet.
Students who live outside a 50-mile radius of campus and cannot visit the Distance Education Proctoring Office or the NC State campus to take exams may be able to use a proctor in their home area.
All proctoring arrangements are subject to your instructor’s approval. Appropriate proctoring services include local colleges and universities, and in some instances, public libraries and high schools. Proctors must have an verifiable email address (no Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc). If the institution has a test administration fee, or if the proctor requires compensation, the student must cover the cost.
Recommended Proctors
Sign up for remote proctoring using the Remote Proctoring Student Signup Form. The map below shows the locations of proctors that are recommended by DELTA Testing Services. You do not need to use one of these proctors, but using one of these will expedite your proctoring request. You may enter any proctor you wish on the Remote Proctoring Student Signup Form below. Select your proctor using the drop-down menu on this form.

Click the red balloon markers below to find out more information about that recommended proctor, or drag the map to find proctors in other areas.
Once you have established a proctor, please complete the proctor request form. The deadline to submit a proctor for approval is:
- Summer I and 10 week 2012
May 23, 2012 - Summer II 2012
July 2, 2012 - Fall 2012
August 30, 2012 - Spring 2012
January 24, 2012
After this date you can still submit your remote proctor, but be aware that the approval process may take several business days, and no materials will be sent until your proctor completes the Proctor Agreement Form sent by our office. Students are responsible for any charges for proctoring services by remote proctors. For security reasons, the DELTA Testing Center cannot accept any remote proctors submitted by email or phone. Student MUST contact their proposed proctor and verify all test dates with them prior to submitting their information.
No exam information will be released until the proctor is approved. You and your proctor will be notified via email once your proctoring arrangements have been approved.
