Parking
- Vehicles parked on the NC State University campus must display a valid parking permit between 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. A parking decal is not required when visiting the McKimmon Center for registration, advising, or proctoring assistance. (Designated visitor parking is available at the McKimmon Center.)
- Parking areas are enforced all year except OFFICIAL UNIVERSITY HOLIDAYS.
- Vehicles will be ticketed if not properly parked.
- Pay lots are located in the Dan Allen Deck (first level, west side), Coliseum Deck (first level off of Cates Ave.) and Central Campus Pay Lot (south of Student Health Services off of Dan Allen Dr.).
- Metered parking spaces are located throughout campus.

Security on Campus
The Department of Public Safety provides an evening escort service. Student Patrol officers will provide walking escorts from the onset of darkness until midnight. To summon the Student Patrol officer call Public Safety at 919.515.3000, or pick up a “blue-light” telephone. Blue-light telephones are located strategically around campus. In case of an emergency the phones are connected directly to the Public Safety switchboard 24 hours a day.
NC State Facilities Available to DE Students
All students have full access to D.H. Hill Libraries and all of their services.
Distance Education students (including those in a full Distance Education Degree Program) do not pay a student services fee with their DE tuition. Because of this, services like the Student Health Center and the NC State Gymnasium are not available. At this time, there is no option for students to purchase access to these facilities.
In addition, all students registered in NC State courses can utilize both the Math Labs and the Unity Computer Labs. All you will need is your Unity ID and password. The links below have more information such as hours and locations. .
