Updating Your Student Information

It is the student's responsibility to notify Registration and Records of any address change.

Currently enrolled students can update their address/telephone information via My Pack Portal . View a tutorial on how to update contact information. You will need to log in with your Unity ID and password. Please note that NC State uses your unity e-mail for all official correspondences for classes, student information, eBILLs and correspondence from faculty. If you have questions, please contact the NC State Help Desk at 515-HELP, help@ncsu.edu, or http://help.ncsu.edu.

Former students should complete a change of address form and mail it to the address indicated on the form. Change of address forms can be downloaded from the Registration and Records website.

Student employees, in addition to changing your address on the Registration and Records system, you will also need to change your address on the Human Resources system. You may print the NC State Change of Home Address Form from the Payroll website and submit it to the department in which you work.

Privacy Block On Student Records:
Students can choose to have a privacy block put on their student records and directory information.
Please be aware that the University may disclose "directory information" without student consent. Directory information consists of a student's name, email address(es) on file with the Registrar, mailing address(es) on file with the Registrar, enrollment status (e.g., undergraduate or graduate; full-time or part-time), telephone number, date and place of birth, major field of study, student activities, weight and height of members of athletic teams, dates of attendance, degrees and awards received, and the most recent previous educational agency or institution attended by the student.

To block disclosure of directory information, a student can login to My Pack Portal with their Unity ID & Password and choose "Student Self Service" from the left hand menu. You will see information on Campus Personal Information, and the link to change your Privacy Settings is located there.

Students can also contact Registration & Records to implement such a request.
