Student Services

The Distance Education Office is here to help you! We want your experience with Distance Education to be rewarding and enjoyable, and we look forward to working with you toward achieving your academic goals. We're available to assist with a wide variety of student support services, offering personal assistance to new students interested in pursuing distance education course work as well as to returning and continuing students already familiar with Distance Education at NC State.

We offer academic advising for Non-Degree Studies (NDS) students and proctoring services for distance education courses through the DE Testing Services Center.

We'll be glad to help guide new students through the initial application process, including assisting you with the Online Non-Degree Studies (NDS) application. We assist all students with enrollment in distance education course sections and connect you with important resources at NC State necessary for your academic success. We provide information about course delivery formats, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), and NC State's student identification assignment (student ID number, Unity ID and password), which gives you access to online and on-campus resources.
