Tuition and Fees

Distance Education courses are not included as part of on-campus Tuition and Fees and are subject to change. DE courses are identified by a section number of 601 or higher. All other section numbers (even if they are listed as internet courses) are considered campus-based and are billed as such. The fees paid by Distance Education students allow them to have full access to D.H. Hill Libraries, Math Labs, and Unity Computer Labs. Students registered in only Distance Education courses do not pay a student services fee. Therefore, services like the Student Health Center and the NC State Gymnasium are NOT available. At this time, there is no option for students to purchase access to these facilities.

 

Restrictions

Just like all NC State courses, Distance Education courses occasionally will carry a registration restriction. This restriction may be on all of the seats in the class, or may used to reserve a portion of the seats. Registration for Engineering Online(EOL) and Textiles Off-Campus Programs(TOP)

Students that would like to register for Engineering Online* or Textiles Off-Campus Programs** courses cannot do so online. Registration is handled through those offices directly. For more information, please visit the links below.

*Engineering courses that are part of the EOL program have the prefixes of CE, CHE, CSC, ECE, IE, MAE, MSE and a section number of 601 or higher. Please note that MA 501 601 & 502 601 are also part of the program.

** Textiles courses have the prefixes of PCC, T, TAM, TC, TE, TT, and TTM and a section number of 601 or higher.

Registration

Students who have a current PIN number may register online using the online registration system through My Pack Portal system (see exceptions for EOL and TOP above).
