Grant Writing

The Office of Marketing and Partnership Development is uniquely positioned to unite public and private sector resources to address the educational needs of NC State's local and global teachers and learners. Find information and assistance for grant development including grant writing workshops, identifying and evaluating partners, grants that are currently open, and assistance identifying funding needs and resources.

IDEA Grants

DELTA Innovation in Distributed Education Applications (IDEA) Grants are provided to promote innovation in the use of instructional technology in online distance teaching and learning, build expertise in this area, and enhance the technology-rich learning environment at North Carolina State University.

LITRE

Learn more about how NC State is planning to create and support innovative learning environments for distributed education. The University's LITRE (Learning in Technology Rich Environments) initiative responds to the reaffirmation for accreditation and associated Quality Enhancement Plan requirements laid out by SACS, its accrediting body.

Non-Credit Course Development

Learning Technologies takes requests to help develop course sections that are not in the course catalog. Requests may include courses for training, continuing education and extension, and similar activities. Such requests are currently handled on a case-by-case basis by staff in Learning Technologies. If you are interested in getting a section for outreach purposes, please email your request to learntech@ncsu.edu and you will be contacted within 2-3 business days.

Online Workshops and Seminars

Learning Technologies provides workshops for faculty on teaching and learning at a distance and the technologies and skills that make the educational process most effective.

Summer Institute

The Teaching with Technology Summer Institute is a five-day immersion experience in teaching and developing online courses. Faculty learn about instructional technology tools and techniques, University supported technologies and resources, and specific technical skills that facilitate the creation and publication of web-enhanced materials.

Assessment and Diversity

The Assessment and Diversity Unit will assist in coordinating and providing standards for all assessment of distance education services and diversity as well as planning and promoting activities that enhance distance education student diversity in accordance with DELTA's mission and N.C. State's land grant mission.
