How to Enroll
After you have applied and been accepted as an NC State student, it's time to enroll for classes. Follow the enrollment instructions for your student classification.
Graduate
Select your classes

- The complete schedule of classes is available online.
(Sections numbered 601 and above are DE sections)
- If you need help with course selection, contact your department or departmental advisor.
Enroll for classes via MyPack Portal

- Find out when graduate students are eligible to enroll by clicking on the Enrollment Calendar link for the semester you are interested in.
- Enroll online using MyPack Portal.
- If you need instructions for using MyPack Portal, review the Enrollment Guide.
- If you have difficulties, feel free to call the DE office at (919) 515-9030, 866-467-8283 (toll free), or submit a question by email.
Pay your required tuition and fees

- Click on the tuition and fees link at the Cashier's Office for the current rates.
- The tuition and fees charges for Distance Education courses are separate and distinct from the tuition and fees charged for on-campus courses. Distance Education courses are identified with a 600 or greater section number. Find information on DE tuition and fee schedules on our Web site.
- Pay your account balance through one of the available payment options. You must pay your account balance, be approved for Financial Aid, sponsorship, or enrolled in an authorized payment plan by the due date associated with your enrollment period or your schedule is subject to cancellation.
PLEASE NOTE: Depending on your enrollment date, tuition may be due within 24 hours. For more information, learn about late registration.
Undergraduate

Non-Degree

- If you need assistance in selecting courses, our Academic Advisor is available to help you.
- Non-Degree Studies (NDS) students are limited to taking eight credits per semester.
- Students enrolling in Summer Sessions are limited to two academic courses per session.

- Find out when NDS students are eligible to enroll by clicking on the Enrollment Calendar link for the semester you are interested in. NDS students enroll during Open Enrollment.
- Enroll online using MyPack Portal.
- If you need instructions for using MyPack Portal, review the Enrollment Guide.
- If you wish to enroll for a course that has a prerequisite which does not appear on your NC State transcript, you should submit an unofficial transcript showing credit for the prerequisite completed elsewhere to the DE Academic Adviser.
