We are glad that you have arrived at the Assessment and Diversity site for Distance Education. North Carolina is becoming an increasingly diverse state and in fulfillment of North Carolina State University's land grant mission, Distance Education is committed to serve the population of North Carolina by addressing specific educational needs in collaboration with the University Office of Planning and Analysis, the Office of Diversity and African American Affairs, the Office of Equal Opportunity, and other relevant offices on campus. We recognize the value of diverse perspectives in education and in life and are committed to participation in engagement activities among diverse populations fostering awareness of NC State's educational opportunities offered through DE.
The Assessment and Diversity Unit provides leadership and strategic planning for initiatives that encourage diversity. It also provides direction for assessment of DE diversity efforts and student services. These assessment activities help gauge the effectiveness of current DE student services and provide direction for future initiatives.
The Assessment and Diversity Unit will assist in coordinating and providing standards for all assessment of distance education services and diversity as well as planning and promoting activities that enhance distance education student diversity in accordance with DELTA's mission and N.C. State's land grant mission.
